About Rev. Brian Robertson
Christian Mystics is written and maintained by Rev. Brian Robertson, who maintains a small nonprofit organization, The Christ Path.
Brian has worked as a professional storyteller, writer and blues musician. His latest book is Little Blues Book, with illustrations by the infamous R. Cumb.
By the time he was 22, Brian had embarked on a spiritual journey. His friendship with Alan Watts, his founding of the Houston Buddhist Society and his teachings at the University of Houston in meditation and Eastern thought which were some of the most popular classes ever held. He continues to teach and offer seminars and workshops.
His interest in Christian mystics has carried him back into Christianity by way of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell. He continues to spend time in Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples, Jewish synagogues and various spiritual communities.
He is married to Melanie Robertson and the two co-owned The Story Shop which hosted a large collection of tapes and CD's from storytellers around the world.
Brian's goal for ChristianMystics.com is to provide a forum and a source for information that seeks to address the Mystery around us by making use of terms and images from within Christianity. In 2007, he plans to begin making seminars and workshops as well as personal teachings available on this site.
